The space
Escape into nature, without giving anything up
A Still Point Cabin is the perfect retreat. With a beautiful view of the Ozark mountains from the back deck, you can easily escape into nature. Cozy and efficient, this cabin is the ideal setting for a getaway with friends and family.
With a queen bed upstairs, a queen memory-foam pull-out couch, and a queen Cordaroy convertible bag-chair (big enough for two small children), there is plenty of room for everyone. Come relax in our hot tub, too.
Soak under the stars, watch the sunset from the back porch, gather around the fire pit for s’mores, and unplug in the quiet of the woods. It is peaceful, private and scenic — the kind of place guests return to again and again.
“Very secluded, comfortable, cozy cabin for our trip. A beautiful location with an amazing view. It was so good that I proposed on the back porch!”

The experience
What you’ll love

01
Soak under the stars
The hot tub sits at the edge of the lawn where the ground drops away into the valley. There is no light pollution out here, so the sky fills in completely once the sun goes down.

02
Watch the sunset from the deck
The back deck and screened porch look west across layered ridgelines. Bring coffee in the morning and something colder at golden hour.

03
Gather around the fire pit
A stone fire pit, hanging swings under the pergola and a hammock strung between the trees. S’mores optional but strongly encouraged.

04
Come inside and warm up
A gas fireplace set into stone, two deep leather sofas and a pine-vaulted ceiling. In winter the snow does something lovely to the view.
- Bird watching from the porch
- Dark-sky stargazing
- Fall foliage over the valley
- Unplugging in the quiet of the woods

Explore
The Buffalo River, twenty minutes down the hill
Welcome to the Ozarks. This is a peaceful getaway near the Buffalo National River, with easy drives to several trailheads, waterfalls and canoe launch sites. Spend your days hiking and paddling, then come back and soak in the hot tub under a brilliant dark sky.
Fall foliage here is spectacular, the bird watching is fantastic, and the sunsets from the back deck are unforgettable. The exact address is shared once you book — until then, picture a ridge above the valley, a mile off the pavement, outside Compton in Newton County.
Buffalo National River
Canoe and kayak launches on America’s first national river, with float trips to match every skill level.
Triple Falls (Twin Falls)
One of the most photographed waterfalls in Arkansas, and a short, popular hike from the trailhead.
Hiking & waterfall trails
Trailheads within an easy drive — bluff overlooks, hollows and seasonal falls that run hardest in spring.
Local general stores
A few nearby stores cover the essentials, but plan the big grocery run before you turn off the highway.
Dark-sky stargazing
Almost no light pollution. On a clear night the Milky Way is visible from the hot tub.
Bird watching
The screened porch is the best seat in the house. Guests keep telling us the birding here is fantastic.

“We absolutely loved our stay! The cabin was beautiful and tucked away in the woods, making it the perfect peaceful and quiet getaway. We especially appreciated being able to bring our dogs along with us! The hot tub was a great bonus, and the back porch was easily one of our favorite parts — we ended up enjoying every meal out there surrounded by the trees. Such a relaxing, cozy place to unplug. We would definitely stay here again!”

Getting here — the honest version
The cabin sits at the end of a roughly one-mile gravel and dirt road. It is a little bumpy, but any vehicle can make it easily at slow speed — guests have driven low-clearance sedans up without trouble.
Multiple vehicles fit in the driveway, though there is no room for long trailers. You will be genuinely secluded out here, so plan your groceries ahead — a few local general stores are nearby for anything you forget.
Because you are out in the woods, an occasional bug or wood-roach may wander in during the rainy months. Sprays and fly swatters are provided. Wood-roaches eat dead leaves and rotting wood, and are a different creature entirely from a cockroach.
